Maryland Alpaca Breeders Association Presents
2009 Schedule of Events
We are planning a Level III Full Fleece Halter Show and a certified Spin-Off Competition
Nov. 14 and 15, 2009 at the
Carroll County Agriculture Center and Shipley Arena Westminster, Maryland
Friday November 13th, 2009 - Check-in
- Check-in begins Friday Nov. 13, 2009 1:00 PM and closes at 8:00 PM
- 8:00 PM ~ Color appeals to the Judge
- If unexpected emergencies arise once you are en-route please contact Jess Armstrong at 443.956.3851, or Cathy Oyster at 859.887.0033
- All alpacas will be health checked by show veterinarian on the exhibitors' trailers before entering show arena
- All exhibitors please note: Veterinarians will not be permitted to implant microchips during vet check; please be sure that all of your alpacas' microchips are in place before they are transported to the show and that they agree with the CVI. Sorry, no exceptions.
Saturday Nov. 14, 2009
- 8:30AM ~ Mandatory Exhibitor’s Meeting
- 9:00AM ~ Spin-Off Entries on display
- 9:00AM ~ Huacaya & Suri Full Fleece Halter Classes begin
- Lunch break
- 1:30PM ~ Huacaya Full Fleece Halter Classes resume
- 1:30PM ~ Obstacle Performance Classes begin
- 4:00 PM ~ Suri Full Fleece Halter Classes resume upon completion of Obstacle Classes
- 6:00 PM ~ Show wraps for the day
Sunday Nov. 15, 2009
- 8:00AM ~ Huacaya Production Classes begin, followed by Huacaya Halter Classes
- 8:00AM ~ Suri Halter Classes followed by Suri Production Classes
- 11:00 AM ~ Youth Performance Showmanship Classes (will follow Suri Production
- Working Lunch Break
- 1:00PM ~ Huacaya Full Fleece Halter Classes resume
- 1:30 Costume Exhibition begins NEW EVENT!!!
